Amazing Life - 3 Keys to Living Your Life to the Max

Your life was meant to be full of fun, success, meaning, and purpose. If you don't feel like your life is great then there are things that you can do to change that. Don't ever settle for a life that is less then the best. This means that you will have to fight for a great life at time. Here are 3 keys to help you live you life to the max.

1. Plan for a great life.

You may plan for a lot of things in your life but have you ever planned for a great life? I have only met a hand full of people that have ever planned to have a great life. The truth of the matter is that a great life will very rarely just happen. You have to plan for it. Life either controls you or you control life. I'll let you in on a little secret; life can be a cruel master. Don't let life control you.

2. Fight for what you want.

Having a great life is worth fighting for. If the truth be told, the only way you can have a great life is by fighting for it. There are times when this can be exhausting but it's worth the fight. Don't be like most people. You see, most people give up and settle in life. They get to a point where they feel comfortable and settle for that life or they just admit defeat and live the life the feel like they were 'dealt'. Don't do that. Fight for what you want.

3. Work for it on the side.

The reason why I say this is because you may feel overwhelmed by changing your entire life at one time. I would advise that you don't try to change everything at once. If you try to change everything at once you will almost certainly set yourself up for failure. Instead, start changing your life a little at a time. Pick one or two things that you want to change and work on those first. Once you have changed these things move on to one or two other things that you want to change. Before you know it you will have changed so many things that your entire life will be different.

Boldness and Success Go Hand-In-Hand

A bold attitude will inspire you to seek out an entirely new range of oftentimes challenging experiences.

"Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now." --Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe

"Fortune befriends the bold." -- John Dryden

Feelings of boldness can influence the choices you make. You may feel compelled to step out of your comfort zone, personally or professionally, so that you can explore all that the world has to offer. In your zeal to enjoy new experiences, you might occasionally feel a sense of discomfort at being out of your element. This is part of the growth process. Your courage can sustain you as you immerse yourself in unfamiliar territory and struggle to learn who you truly are. If you feel lost or directionless, you can get back on track by seeking out a mentor/coach, who understands your quest for change.

Personal and professional growth tends to be uncomfortable precisely because it requires you to face challenges that are entirely new. While it is possible to make small leaps in evolution without broadening your horizons to the extreme, the progress you achieve will invariably be more profound when you remove yourself from your comfort zone in order to face the unknown head on. This requires faith on your part, as it will be rare that you are totally sure that your efforts to discover more about yourself and about the world around you will be met with total success. However, the rewards you eventually come to are frequently worth the temporary stress caused by your departure from all that you have embraced as fact in the past.

Success is the progressive realization of meaningful goals. This definition means that you will continually realize success one goal at a time with another goal waiting to be realized. Goals, by definition, are: measurable, achievable, observable and timely—you set your own goals—and how to measure them.

Goals are quantitative—winning an award, meeting an earnings goal or sales quota, obtaining a new job or promotion, getting married, losing weight, pulling off an event you organized, taking a trip, learning a sport, etc. Or they can be qualitative—forgiving someone, facing a crises with tact, compassion, level headedness and leadership, or reaching out to others, changing a bad habit, improving communication or relationship skills, etc.

Quantitative and qualitative goals may be declared in every area of your life, and if they are important to you, they are how you create a meaningful life.

"Be bold, be bold, and everywhere be bold." --Herbert Spencer

"Live daringly, boldly, fearlessly." --Henry J. Kaiser

"It is easy to be brave from a safe distance." -- Aesop

"Courage is the greatest of all the virtues. Because if you haven't courage, you may not have an opportunity to use any of the others. --Samuel Johnson

"Boldness in business is the first, second, and third thing." --H. G. Bohn

I Will Not Talk In Class - How A 6 Word Sentence In My 5th Grade Class Gave Me Strength As An Adult

I will not talk in class. Write this sentence 100 times; it is due tomorrow! The homework assignment punishing my entire 5th grade class angered me. The teacher's stern words pierced my heart.

I remember thinking, "This is ridiculous to spend time after school writing a useless sentence." I realize now why I dreaded school; today it's called attention deficit disorder.

I spent many hours each night laboring over homework assignments. "How am I going to complete this stupid assignment in addition to my daily homework?" Internally, I protested the boondoggle assignment.

Little did I know that punishment in 5th grade would transform into a gift. After writing those 6 words 100 times, I learned how to memorize anything, although unapparent to that 5th grader.

It's true, "The weakest ink is more enduring than the strongest memory." I confess; today, I am thankful for that boondoggle assignment which gave me strength and a coping technique I used while waiting in the hospital.

My husband had successfully battled congestive heart failure for six years until a sudden and severe infection violently attacked his already weakened heart. After the fourth time in the hospital during a three month period, he was officially put on the heart transplant only eleven days after he was admitted.

While he fought for his life, I battled the silence and the waiting. I read magazines and newspapers. I listened and watched people. I prayed.

With the attention span of a gnat, I decided to memorize a Bible verse which had caught my eye as a car with a personalized license plate drove by. I was not familiar with the verse, "Rom. 15:13."

I counted the number of words in the verse, Romans 15:13, thirty-one words to be exact. "Not too many words; quick to write; at least it would keep my hands busy." I purchased a journal in the hospital gift shop and returned to the intensive care waiting room. I began writing the verse over and over again.

Imagine my surprise when the verse effortlessly spilled from my lips as I recited it to my daughter. "Mom, when did you learn that verse?" My response, "I've had a lot of time to wait, to think, and to write."

Success in Life - How to Succeed Beyond Your Own Ability

Your life has so much potential that you would be amazed to see what you are capable of. The reason why you and almost everyone else in this world don't live to their full potential is because of the fear to go beyond your known abilities. Your fear will stop you from have the best life possible. Here are 3 ways you can help yourself succeed beyond your own ability.

1. Surround yourself with people that believe in you.

The people that you surround yourself with are so important to the level of success that you will achieve in your lifetime. It is imperative that you surround yourself with people that believe in you. After all, why in the world would you want to surround yourself with people that don't believe in you?

2. Press past the fear.

Here is the thing about fear – it will always be there. I know that may not seem very encouraging but it's the truth. Overtime it may subside but it doesn't always go away completely. The only way that the ultra-successful have got to where they are is to press past the fear they feel and do it anyway. Once you do you will realize that you are capable of much more than you thought you were.

3. Stop telling yourself that you can't and just do it.

The main reason why people don't succeed is because they talk themselves out of it before they ever got started. Sometimes the best thing for you to do is to just shut up and do something. You will probably surprise yourself to see what you are capable of once you start.

Warning - Crooked Thinking Can Harm Your Happiness And Sabotage Your Potential

As far as we know, we only have one life. While it is theoretically possible that we have had previous lives and - or we will have future lives, the only life we can be certain of is this one. With only one life to live - and a short one at that - it behooves us to make the most of it. Yet so many of us live as though we had all the time in the world. We live as though this life doesn't matter, and assume that the next one will be better.

There seems to be almost universal agreement that out attitude towards life determines the quality of our lives. If attitude is so important, then the greatest obstacle to a rewarding and joyous life is our tendency to think crookedly - to view ourselves, others, and life in general through distorted lenses.

Thinking Traps

Albert Ellis, creator of rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), was one of the first to see that crooked thinking leads us to adopt a negative outlook on life so that we fail to live up to our potential. It causes us to be mistrustful of others, and to underestimate our own abilities. Learning to recognize some of the more common forms of crooked thinking - sometimes called "thinking traps" - can help you to avoid them.

Demanding:

You take your desires and preferences and turn them into demands. For example, you tell yourself that you must be successful and win everyone's approval; other people must always do what you believe is best; and that life must always be easy, fair, and comfortable.

Catastrophizing:

You exaggerate the effects of negative events. For example, after being laid off work because of a downturn in the economy, you convince yourself that it's the end of the world. You tell yourself that being unemployed is absolutely awful and unbearable.

I can't stand it-itis:

You underestimate your ability to bear unpleasant events. You tell yourself that you can't stand it when things go wrong in your life.

Labeling:

You call yourself or other people names - e.g., loser, jerk, idiot. This thinking trap is akin to judging a book by its cover because you rely on only one tiny bit of evidence (e.g., driving badly) to make a general statement about the entire person and his or her (or your) life. Instead of acknowledging that we are all fallible and make mistakes from time to time, you believe that some people are better than others and that you don't need much evidence to see who the "good people" are, and who the "bad people" are.

Overgeneralization:

Because something happened once or twice in your life, you assume that it will continue to happen. For example, after failing an exam, you tell yourself that you should have passed it and that failing this exam means that you will fail all future exams.

These five thinking traps are the most destructive and they contribute to many of the other thinking traps that we fall into, including:

All or nothing thinking:

You see everything as either black or white, with no shades of grey. For example, you believe that you must be perfect, and anything less than perfection means that you are a total failure.

Mental filter:

You dwell on the negative aspects of life events. For example, when a romance ends, you focus on all the things that went wrong during the affair and forget about the good times. Further, you tell yourself that the relationship should have been better, and that you can't stand it when things go wrong.

Disqualifying the positive:

You downplay the importance of positive events in your life. For example, after getting a promotion at work, you tell yourself that you should be doing more with your life and that you don't really deserve the promotion.

Mind reading:

You assume that other people don't admire or respect you, or that they won't like something you say or do. For example, you avoid speaking up in social gatherings because you believe that the people around you will disagree with your point of view and will think you're an idiot. You convince yourself that you mustn't do anything that would cause others to think less of you, so you keep your mouth shut.

Fortune telling:

You expect the worst outcome to any event. You pay too much homage to Murphy's Law and assume that anything that can go wrong will go wrong at the worst possible moment. For example, you tell yourself that you couldn't stand it if your marriage fell apart, but you "know" instinctively that it - like everything else in your life - is doomed to end in failure.

Emotional reasoning:

You do whatever you feel like doing and avoid doing things you don't feel like. For example, you watch TV all afternoon because you don't feel like doing the household chores you've been putting off. You tell yourself that you shouldn't have to do anything unless you feel like doing it.

Personalization:
According to this thinking trap, everything is your fault. For example, you give yourself a hard time because you voted for a candidate who turned out to be an incompetent president. You think to yourself, "If only I'd voted for the other guy, we wouldn't have this mess." You forget that other people voted for him also.

According to Albert Ellis, by eliminating - or at least minimizing the frequency of - these thinking traps, you can lead a much more joyous and rewarding life.

Lee Brower Found A Simple Rock - From Which Gratitude Sprung Forth

Most of us at one time have adopted something that we carried around with us to signify a special friendship, a valued memory or maybe even just to use as a type of good luck charm. Lee Brower took that initial concept and used a simple rock he found on the street to remind him of all that he had in his life to be grateful for! He says that the idea first hit him during a time of hardship when he was having problems in his family. He decided to us the rock as a reminder of what was right in his life. Every time he reached in his front pocket for change or at night before he went to bed and empted out his pockets he'd see or feel the stone –depending and he would reflect on his many blessings. The idea worked so well for him during that trying time that he decided to keep the rock in his pocket on a permanent basis.

Lee had no idea that such a simple gesture of appreciation would spread throughout the entire globe and wind up putting him on one of the greatest movies on self-advancement ever released! But that is what The Secret is all about in the first place now isn't it? Letting the universe take over and bring to you what it is that you most desire is the fun – and the very joy of it all. There is no need to be in the middle of everything attempting to influence the outcome –just trust that it is already on its way to you – do you remember that being repeated in The Secret several times over quite subtly by various teachers throughout the movie? If you are really in a place of believing that your dreams are being manifested right this very instant–you don't have to wonder if it will ever show up for you now do you? If your not doubting you are expressing faith and that moves mountains whereas doubting leaves only fear and questioning.

Lee was an exciting subject for me to research because prior to my writing this article about him I could only reference his brief contribution to The Secret because I knew nothing else of who he was or what he does for a living. As it turns out this guy has spent over 30 years advising businesses, celebrities, pro athletes, and many other types of peoples and organizations on how to empower their personal and financial assets as well as their other God given talents and attributes to do more for themselves, and their communities. This man is a real contributor and his business credentials are too many to list, as are his academic accomplishments! He is in the Who's Who In The West and in Who's Who Worldwide.

He is an Author of 2 books and it is unreal what else he is involved with and/or attached to on one level or another. Most of us would need to clone ourselves several times over to accomplish what this man as done for himself. To top it all off he is the President and CEO of his own company called Empowered Wealth, LC. I find it refreshing that such a successful individual would lend his thoughts and ideas to us and come across as a very humble and warm regarding human being. Lee is obviously a man of great distinction and sound character. He is the kind of guy anyone could look up to and I now have a new regard for his kindness and his story. He is someone I will now spend more time discovering on a deeper level- I find him quite fascinating in deed!

Total Success - Real Magic Is Your Original Nature To Enjoy Wonderful Possibilities

Do you know what real magic is? Are you familiar with real magic that has brought individuals to a level of fame as real magicians? Are you aware that you also have the natural ability and capability to perform real magic in your life? Do you realize and believe that real magic is an original part of you? Thus now are you able to consciously perform real magic, experiencing and enjoying all the wonderful features, filling to the full, the fulfillment of your precious life?

Most people assume that, "what is real is not magic, and what is magic cannot be real." To them Magic is merely an illusion. This is correct in the context of the physical dimension. However, the latest technology has allowed us to view, from the counting of a hundred percent, the metaphysical constitutes 99 percent and the remainder is the physical. So, the fact remains that invisibility is real, and not an illusion. Thus, real magic exists within the metaphysical dimension, and are being manifested at the physical level.

Real magic is truly the space and place of possibilities within the realm of human experiences on earth. It is up to you to further discover, uncover, and recover real magic, by continuously searching and researching with the purpose to gather a body of knowledge, and to share with others information nearing the truth belonging to the God.

Please observe, since real magic is not luck, can defy logic, and has nothing to do with coincidence, where even scientist now acknowledges that a human being has an invisible consciousness capable of influencing matter, so let us first define real magic.

Real Magic is a possible performance available to all individuals, which are original, and natural, the God's gift, enabling the performer to manifest the best of his ultimate preferences, instantly and immediately, in accordance to the one and only divine law of the universe.

Let us proceed from this definition and go deeper in our penetration and understanding of real magic.

As a possible performance, real magic happens when the real magician initiates a metaphysical transformation inside, so as to witness the result and outcome physically outside.

This transformation includes:

01) An inner switching on of your self to the one and only Source of life within the entire universe, opening you up to a constant abundant flow of real magic,

02) Accepting and acknowledging that you are the key to the performance of real magic, as an invisible being experiencing a visible life, thus awaken the giant within, and through your meaningful intention, willingness, purpose, decision, choice, and preference in your life. So, practice the application of affirmation using an auto-suggestion,

03) Being in harmony within the formation of a network of connections with other real magicians engaging a constant and consistent contact, relationship, bonding, communication, interactions, and more, by sharing expertise and experiences for mutual win-win benefits,

04) Being open to tap and allow more than a trillion invisible forces energizing the whole matrix to be supporting and facilitating you to perform, experience, and enjoy real magic, and

05) Identifying your enemy, the devil, as the only enemy of all children of Adam, which is evil, lurking with bombardments of evilness, as to veil thus to digress and deviate you from your total life, and real magic too.

Real magic is actually available to all individual and not to the exclusive chosen few. Each and every single one of us can perform real magic is our life, now and here. Predominantly, this has been, is, and shall be the way.

In relations to you, real magic begins before your conception as a being. Then it continues and proceeds during your birth as a human being, throughout your life on earth, and until an inevitable death, and beyond.

That means original to you, and it exists deep within you, is the ultimate potential of real magic readily available, for your benefits instantly and immediately. So, be willing now to accept this wonderful art and science, the attainment of real magic until you are competent to a rank of an expert real magician. That is the moment when you sincerely change the term "Impossible" to "I'm possible".

Real magic operates within the only one unified law of the universe. Within this law, you obtain more than a trillion automatic invisible supports in your life, and in this context, to facilitate you in performing real magic.

Real magic is the truth belonging to the God. The truth shall enable you to discern between the facts, the figures, the fictions, the flaws, and the falsehoods. Thus, being a real magician is all yours to enjoy the benefits.

With real magic you begin to flow, encountering cycles, and experiencing synchronicity. Thus, all aspects of your private, public, as well as professional life the wonderful possibilities begin to align directly to you at the center of your being.

Mystery shall disappear as you begin to see the whole story and the best portion to you is your story. The disappearance is due to a special delight of the shinning divine light and where you are the surrounding of "endarkenment" (sic.) is changed to enlightenment.

So be wise and be willing to intent, to decide and to choose the best thereof, from the numerous preferences and options, offered and opened to you as a real magician.

Please remember, in performing real magic, you are not required to put the world in order. Instead, you accept that the world is already, and will always be in order. It is a grand order. Therefore you order yourself fitting into that grand order.

In so an acceptance, you are moving from luck to the fruitfulness to pluck from the richness and abundance offered to all humanity. When you perform real magic, you are able to manifest the best of all fulfillment in your life. Yes, the only life of yours here on this planet earth.

As more and more real magicians performing real magic, we become better societies who are alive and living a life as lively as liveliness truly is in this world that is installed with abundance, affluence, luxury, and preciousness.

Interpersonal Skill in Organization -4 Tips To Improve Fast

Mastering interpersonal skill in organization is a critical requirement for successfully getting promoting and generally succeeding at work. Here are some key tips you can start using right away to improve interpersonal skill in organization.

1) Body Language - being able to read body language and then being aware of the signals your own body is giving to other people is probably one of the most overlooked skills working in a organization. Between 65%-90% of what you say is being interpreted through you body language as opposed what you actually say! This is a staggering statistic!

The good news is that you can apply a fair amount of common sense when reading body language once you are aware of its importance. For example, if a person is holding eye contact with you, nodding his head and leaning forward with uncrossed arms and legs this means they are engaged with you and accept what you are saying.

On the other side if you are in a meeting and the other person who is talking is not keeping eye contact with you, is shifting in his seat, keeps touching his face or looks really uncomfortable then chances are he is lying.

The keep point is that if you can read body language and then use it effectively it can give you a serious advantage in your organization.

2) Aware of your Audience - the point here is that you need to recognize that people are different and you will need to tailor your communication for the different types of people. For example, if you are a engineer then talking using highly technical language may well be appropriate with other engineers of the same ability. At the same time if you use the same language with non-technical colleagues it is likely that they will not understand what you are saying, they will be bored and you will not get their agreement to what you want. You also need to display a fair amount of patience to make sure everyone in the room understands your position. If necessary you may need to repeat your key points.

3) Control Your Emotions - this point really couples in with the point about body language above. You need to be able to push your emotions to the background so that you can make an objective, rationale decision. The moment emotions gets heavily involved 2 things happen. Firstly, your body starts signaling what you are thinking. For example, if you get annoyed you may start clenching your fists, start frowning or your voice may start becoming more forceful. The other thing that happens is that your rationale judgment starts getting very clouded as the emotion takes over. This lessens your chance of making a smart decision.

4) Learn to "Defuse" - it is important to take the "high ground" as much as possible. When you get into an argument or state of high emotions it is not likely that anything productive will be agreed. First thing is to always to be polite and respectful of the other person's opinion and listen to what they are saying despite how ridiculous it may sound to you.

Always try to relieve high tension situation. If a person gets emotional then the worst thing you can do is react back. There are a couple of things you can do to "defuse" the situation. If you are in a meeting stop the conversation and allow silence for a while so people can take a break and reflect on the situation. People often under estimate the importance of silence. If this does not work then the best thing to do is re-schedule the meeting.

It is amazing how much some simple tips can help build your interpersonal skill in organization. If you are looking for some more advanced tips then please see my recommendation below. The important thing is to NEVER underestimate how important interpersonal skills are to your success both at work and home.

Success, Personal Growth - Do You Know the One Thing You Can Rely On To Always Be There?

Labels: , , ,

Monday, June 4, 2007

Forget What The "Guru's" Are Doing!

"Find someone who has what you want and do what they've done." In the sometimes redundant land of personal development I bet you've heard that a thousand times before.

But...

From my own life experience I have a much different view on that statement.

To achieve success you don't need to do what they are doing you need to HAVE what they HAVE inside of them.

That's right. It makes no difference what they "do". In fact, chances are you won't be able to do what they do they way they do it anyway!

If it were the case that you only need to do the same things that someone else has done don't you think that we would see a lot more success stories?

And to go even further, part of what's made me so successful and allowed me to create such strong emotional and mental muscles was going through all of the struggles and adversity I went through.

Poverty, being brutally and mercilessly picked on and teased in school, drug and alcohol addictions at age 12 and on and on it goes.

I would NEVER recommend anyone go "do" that garbage but it is part of what helped me develop my character and allowed me to learn the truth about the statement "do what they do".

You need to have what I have. You need to have what the champion of the team has. You need to have what the successful entrepreneur has. You need to have what that awesome parent has.

You need to have what they have inside of them and then whatever you do will produce phenomenal results.

It's that magic that lives within you that allows you live an exciting life full of possibilities and new experiences.Sure there are certain mechanics that go along with the whole "doing" part of it but ask yourself this.

If you want to be a billionaire do you have to be a real estate mogul like trump? No way. What about all the billionaires that weren't real estate investors?

  • Mark Cuban
  • Bill Gates
  • Warren Buffet

They all "do" different things to acquire money yet they are all billionaires.

You just need to have what they have inside of them if you want to become a billionaire.

It's the new levels of energy when you crank it up that produce new levels of confidence and power inside your self.

It creates new resolve new skills and new abilities.

One way to attempt to get that is to mimic and model what they are doing.

But it all starts with raising your energy and getting that magic inside yourself so you can use it! More like becoming aware of it and cranking it up.

And the only way to do that is to bring your energy to new levels that you're not used to experiencing.

You MUST raise your energy to experience more power.

When your favorite song comes on the radio and you want more juice to jam out do you say crank it down?

No you say crank it up!

You raise the energy.

Because you cant do what they're doing until you have what they have.

It's only when you have that new level of energy that you have the power to push through to new experiences and reach further levels of success in your life.

You define that not someone else. One simple way to raise your energy is just to move your body more.

Seems overly simplistic but I have stacks of reports from people who say their life completely changed form this one simple action alone.

Try it. Raise your energy to get what it takes to have what success demands on the inside then do what YOU do.

It's a simple recipe that creates a life experience where failure is virtually impossible.

A great way to live by anyones standards...
